Elijah's Promise Social Services

The guests of Elijah's Promise bring many concerns and needs when they walk through our doors. Our social services team provides guests of the soup kitchen with information, and referrals to other agencies to help them solve their problems. Some people need help finding a place to live, some need help getting to a doctor, others just need someone to talk to. A number of community agencies also provide services on site regularly, including: Health screenings, vision screenings, mental health screening, HIV/AIDS prevention and testing.

The FIRST STEP ADDICTION PROGRAM provides services for people with substance abuse concerns. They are assisted with referrals to detox and treatment, and with supportive services that will help them maintain recovery.

THE PROMISE CLINIC is a student run health clinic that was launched by students of the Robert Wood Johnson Medical School to provide healthcare services for clients of Elijah's Promise.

The CLOTHESLINE project provides clothing to our guests and others in the community. Clothing donations are accepted for the Clothesline in the blue bin at our 211 Livingston Ave. facility anytime.
